During your holiday you’ll take a boat ride on Derwentwater before visiting Grasmere, as well as visiting Rydal Mount and Gardens. Day Two

After breakfast we depart for Bowness a popular tourist town on the shore of Lake Windermere. Here we spend the day where you can take time to visit the World of Beatrix Potter or perhaps take refreshments in one of the towns many tea rooms. You may wish to take a boat trip around the lake or visit Ambleside at the far end of the lake.

Day Three

Our excursion today takes us to Derwentwater for a 50 minute boat ride before we continue to Grasmere, famous for its gingerbread and of course it was once the home of the poet William Wordsworth. After lunch we take the short journey to visit Rydal Mount & Gardens, home to Wordsworth for 37 years. Wordsworth was a keen landscape gardener and the 4 acre garden remains very much as he designed it. The house which now belongs to the descendants of Wordsworth contains portraits, personal possession and first editions of the poet's work.

Day Four

Today we depart for Hawes, home to Wensleydale Cheese and the Dales countryside Museum, enjoy some tree time in Hawes and then travel past the Ribblehead Viaduct to Settle before we returning to our hotel.
