DAY ONE – Arrival

We depart from your home and travel to Holyhead and our ferry to Dublin, on arrival we make our way to our hotel with time to relax before dinner this evening.

 

DAY TWO – Waterford & Suir Valley Railway, Mount Congreve Gardens and Waterford

Today we travel to Kilmeaden and the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway for our journey along the banks of the River Suir.  Arriving at Mount Congreve, which is one of the world’s largest private gardens whose owner, Ambrose Congreve, won 13 gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show. We’ll then have free time in Waterford before returning to our hotel.

 

DAY THREE – Fota House, Cobh and Cork

After breakfast we discover Fota House, a Regency style great country house surrounded by its own arboretum, beautiful orangery and formal walled gardens.  We’ll then head to Cobh, a tiny fishing village with a big history made famous as the last port of call for RMS Titanic. We’ll then have free time in Cork before returning to our hotel.

 

DAY FOUR – Gulf Steam Coast and Kinsale

Enjoy spectacular scenery and pretty towns of the Gulf Steam Coast today, sculptured by the Ice Age and lapped by the warm waters of the |Gulf Steam.  We also visit Kinsale, Ireland’s ‘gourmet capital’ and a popular centre for sailing, overlooked by historic Charles Fort.

 

DAY FIVE – Departure

After breakfast this morning we make our journey back to Dublin and our ferry home.

There is a bar and restaurant which are popular with locals and guests alike. Free WiFi is also available throughout the Hotel.
