This classic tour combines the historical cities of Bath and Oxford with the royal town of Windsor as we travel through time from the archaeological wonders of the Roman Baths, to Windsor Castle originally built by William the Conqueror to the learned streets of Oxford, the famous University City whose record of education dates back to 1096.

DAY ONE

We depart for your holiday with our exclusive home pick-up service, join your tour coach and travel south with comfort stops enroute, arriving at your hotel mid-afternoon, time to relax before dinner.

DAY TWO

Today we travel to the Roman city of Bath, where there is free time to discover the city’s Georgian architecture.  Our excursion includes admission into the world famous Roman Baths one of the city’s finest historic sites where you can walk on the ancient cobbled pathways much as the Romans did 2,000 years ago.  Then walk to the Grade 1 listed Pulteney Bridge, completed by 1774, the bridge was designed by Robert Adam in a Palladian style, it is exceptional in having shops built across its full span on both sides.

DAY THREE

This morning we travel into the centre of Oxford for a 1½ hour guided walking tour of the historic city’s most famous sights and hidden treasures.  After the tour we walk the short distance to Malmaison hotel, located in the former prison where we will enjoy a cream tea in the ‘Visitors Room’ during which our guide will tell us tales from the former gaol.

DAY FOUR

Our excursion this morning is the Henley-on-Thames, founded in the 12th century, this pretty town is probably best known for its annual regatta.  In the afternoon we visit Windsor and its famous castle, it is the largest inhabited castle in the world and the oldest in continuous occupation, often regarded as the Queen’s favourite residence as she spends most of her private weekends in Windsor.

DAY FIVE

This morning we must bid farewell, depart the hotel and begin our journey home with comfort stops enroute.
