Emily Williams, a 35-year-old driver based in North Wales, has achieved a major milestone in her career at Alpine Travel. In just under 12 months, she has successfully passed the D1 Licence test with flying colours.
Starting out as a feeder driver in 2022, Emily offered door-to-door pick-up services for passengers on Alpine's Jones Holidays products. She not only provided exceptional care and attention to her passengers but also had the ambition to learn how to drive larger vehicles in the Alpine fleet.
Now, with her newly acquired D1 Licence, Emily can drive midi coaches with up to 16 seats. This opens a world of opportunities for her, including driving not just feeder vehicles but also private groups and customers who hire larger vehicles from Alpine Travel.
Jon Hughes, the Traffic Manager at Alpine, expressed his delight for Emily's achievement and emphasised her professionalism and skill in the short time she has been with the company. He sees a bright future ahead for her. Emily herself expressed her satisfaction with her qualification and how Alpine's commitment to employee training and development has contributed to her success.
Alpine Travel, with its fleet of luxury vehicles, is always on the lookout for experienced PCV coach drivers, as well as those willing to train and learn. Emily's progression serves as a testament to Alpine's dedication to its team and the abundant long-term opportunities available across the entire business.
Join us in congratulating Emily Williams on her remarkable accomplishment and stay tuned for more exciting news from Alpine Travel!
